This bay window featured decorative cast stone cills that had suffered significant impact damage to one of the external corners.
The aim was to rebuild the damaged corner, recreate the original profile and texture, and achieve a seamless colour match — while providing long-term protection against the British weather.
Our Approach
A specialist stone repair compound was used to rebuild the missing section.
The repair was built up in layers and carefully shaped to reproduce the original profile, including the 45° chamfer and crisp external edge.
The finish wasn't matched by colour alone. The surface texture and fine aggregate appearance were recreated by lightly sandblasting the coating while still wet, helping the repaired area blend naturally into the existing stone.
The Result
The damaged corner was completely rebuilt and finished to closely replicate the original cast stone.
The repaired area now blends seamlessly with the surrounding cill, with the original profile, colour and fine texture restored.
